Department of Ayurveda Siddhanta & Sanskrit
The Department of Ayurveda Siddhanta & Sanskrit serves as the foundation of Ayurvedic education. It focuses on the study of the fundamental principles, philosophies, and classical texts of Ayurveda while providing students with a strong understanding of Sanskrit, the language in which the ancient Ayurvedic scriptures were composed.
The department aims to develop a thorough understanding of Ayurvedic concepts, including Tridosha, Panchamahabhuta, Sapta Dhatu, Mala, Agni, and various principles that govern health and disease. Students are trained to interpret and understand classical texts such as Charaka Samhita, Sushruta Samhita, and Ashtanga Hridaya in their original form.
Through lectures, seminars, discussions, and research activities, the department strives to preserve the rich heritage of Ayurveda while encouraging critical thinking and scientific interpretation of classical knowledge.
