Established in 1998 by the Government of Maharashtra, Maharashtra University of Health Sciences (MUHS) serves as the apex body governing medical, dental, Ayurvedic, Homeopathic, Unani, Nursing, and other health science colleges across the state.
The university ensures uniformity and high standards in teaching, training, research, and evaluation across all affiliated institutions.

Headquartered in Nashik, MUHS is recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC) and works under the supervision of the Ministry of Medical Education, Government of Maharashtra. With over 360 affiliated colleges, MUHS has established itself as a hub for academic excellence, innovation, and research in healthcare education.
